Last week I did do the Diva's weekly challenge with guest blogger, Sandy Hunter at Tanglebucket blog. She challenged us to focus on negative space. I actually like to have open space on my tiles, so this was fun and enjoyable for me. You gotta love that open space!!! Anyway, I had so much fun, that I did two entries.
My computer was down last week so that is the reason of delay. I do have Instagram, (@theartzenter) where I can easily and quickly post photos. So I did have it posted on there on time. Anyway, here are my open space tiles.
I'm hoping that all of my computer problems will be done. This post was quite a challenge to finish. (I just wish I could get better at all of this tech stuff.)
Did this one pretty quick for a friend. |
I hope to see you all next week. Have an awesome one!! And thank you to all who make me smile with your comments. I try to respond on your blog rather than on mine, that way you don't have to revisit mine, and I get to see your beautiful work! (((hugs))) to all!!!

Your zendala is so free and delicate! I love the open spaces and the use of Mooka to soften the template.
ReplyDeleteNew blog site? Nice! I love how you used Narwal - everybody's new fave, it seems - and gave them wonderful little helmets! It's funny, but totally beautiful at the same time! Love it!
ReplyDeleteyour zendala challenge tile made me smile...because it reminds me of baby astronauts, or astronaut cocoons hee hee Love that narwhal. And mooka peeking out. Very cool Fun to look at.
ReplyDeleteAnnette, I LOVE your zendala and the way Mooka is in it!!!! The other two are lovely as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment on my blog, I always like your comments a lot. I had forgotten to tell you that this font is indeed much better; still soft as you want it to be, be better to read.
DeleteGorgeous stuff!
ReplyDeleteLovely work, your zendala is really pretty!
ReplyDeleteHallo Annette,
ReplyDeleteyour Zendala ist so beautiful, i love the shading and the patterns you choose.
Thank you so much for your nice comments on my blog :)
Ulrike
Beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteYour response to Erin Olson's challenge is really lovely. I was thinking of trying to use Narwal, but I haven't quite mastered it. I think it turned out really well in your composition. Lots of successful 3D going on. Very nice work.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful zendala! I love your pattern choices. Narwal is a current obsession of mine and I love what you did with Mooka.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! Your zendala has so much personality it should have a name. I have never used Narwal, but now I will absolutely try it. The murmylies are wonderful also. You've introduced me to 2 new (to me) tangles.
ReplyDeleteWonderful zendala with a fine contrast! I really like your choice of tangles. What a creative way to use Mooka and Murmylies in combination! I´m so glad you like my Murmylies, dear Annette!
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing Annette, I like what you did here.
ReplyDeleteVery gentle zendala! Refined ... Like it!
ReplyDeleteGreat work on the Zendala. (The others are great too.) I like your use of stippling for the shading. Is very effective but also very soft. Like the contrast you created with your bold lines. I am hoping to be able to participate in the challenges and on FB a little more regularly. My tired old eyes appreciate the change in the font color. It is easier for me to read.
ReplyDeleteFabulous Zendala! It's really just perfect! Sarah
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful zendala! You found a very creative way to make those big circles in the zendala template not look so predominant. Love the one with the heart in the center, too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Such depth to the Narwhal.
