'NEWBORN KING'

Dans Friday,........(On a Monday)
'Newborn King'
Coloring Page #4

Wow, I don't even know where to begin,.......... 'Life as I know it' has been very much like a rollercoaster! Highs and lows!!! Some good, some bad! Besides my neighborhood around me changing from an agricultural, peaceful nature,.... to an industrial, cement tilt up, highway, catastrophe, it has also been under great siege of investigation. Yes, I live about 30 minutes from the San Bernardino shooting that took place last week. It saddens me greatly! So with a heavy heart, I felt that this month's Dans Friday coloring page, needed a strong message of HOPE!
I don't remember how long ago it was that I first saw the image of Santa Claus kneeling beside the Infant Jesus, with cap off and hands folded in prayer. It just grabbed my heart! I would love to give credit to whoever was the first to illustrate this powerful image, but I don't know who that is. (If anyone knows, please add it in my comment section and I will rewrite this post.)
Forgive me for not having this posted on Friday, as it should be. And believe it or not, it wasn't even due to the Hustle and Bustle of the season. Life sometimes calls us to dedicate ourselves to being helpful hands and not so much about the superficials of life. (Not that it is easy.) I have so much I have to do for Christmas, but I feel that the 'True' spirit of Christmas is in my heart and my family's. That's all that really matters!
May this coloring page be shared with your families and friends to remind you that Christ is always Love and Hope! That 'He' is the greatest gift, one can have!!!

Not only did I not have this completed by it's due date, I did not have time to color last months 'Give Thanks' coloring page. Maybe over the kid's Christmas break I will have some extra time to sit back, relax and color.
I pray that this Christmas Season will bring wonderment and joy to your hearts and families!
God Bless You and
Merry Christmas!!!

PLANT A TREE, CREATE A FOREST

Weekly Challenge #246
"Guest Post: Monotangle Tree"
with Dilip Patel

I have been preoccupied with a many different things in my life, right now, and computer time is last on my list. (Unfortunately I haven't even had time to tangle,......big sigh of sadness....) Any who, I was able to read, briefly, last week of what the challenge was to be set before us. My heart filled with emotion!!!! "I LOVE TREES!!!!!"  On Pinterest, I have a board dedicated just to trees! Trees, even as silent as they are, speak volumes of Strength, Stability, Life, Future, Beauty, Purpose, Hope, New Beginnings ........and the list goes on!
Recently, I have been touched by sadness, concerning trees. With the progress of development and buildings going ALL around me, ALL the trees that have been here forever, are being cut down. Yes, the developers are planting some, new ones,.........but not as many as were here before.
A beautiful, mature Olive tree on my parent's property. (From which my Pops, cures delicious olives)

Many, many Citrus trees on my parent's property, also. All of which are getting ready to be ripened.

The front of my parent's home. Look at all of those mature trees!

Across from the corner where I live. Pure destruction of homes and trees down to the ground!!!!
This is why this challenge touched me so profoundly!!! Thank you Dilip for giving us such an awesome and purposeful challenge!! In California, we are in a drought right know too. So we are being asked to not water our trees. They've even gone as far as wanting us to move most if not all foliage, anywhere on our properties. (It doesn't make any sense to me. Trees help our environment so much, but,...... I won't go there.)
Go Plant a Tree and Create a Forest!!!!
Here are my trees, using tangle LoLo by CZT Hsin-Ya Hsu. She has deconstructed some of the most amazing patterns. LoLo is one of my 'mac n cheese' tangles. I just love it!
Anyway, I have had so much that I have been wanting to share with you all but my hands and brain and computer intelligence get in my way of getting these posts done quickly. What probably takes some of you 5 minutes to do on a computer, takes me about 30 minutes. My thoughts and comprehension of technology just get in my way. :0/
Sorry for the long and babbly post, but I always have so much that I want to say! (I'm known to babble :0)    )
Have a blessed week and may you and your families be safe, wherever you are!<3

TEMPLATE #116

Weekly Challenge #116
with Erin

Hello there one and all! I have so many reasons why I had not posted this and why I have been absent from my computer time. As I will share that all with you in future posts, I really wanted to get this Zendala Dare posted since it's the most delinquent on my list.
I soooooo loved this template! I have to say, I always do the pencil transfer of the template as Erin shows on her blog, but I played around, a tad, directly on the smaller printed version to create this celtic like Zendala, first. And a confession, I did have to use an eraser a few times, as my eyes were playing tricks on me.   :0/

As yo scroll down you will see how this changed from the original template. (click to enlarge)

Here is the original template form Erin at The Bright Owl
I encourage any and all of you to give the Zendala Dare a try! Erin posts a new template every Tuesday of each week. It really has helped me get over my fear of Zendalas. I usually do mine using the largest template, but I have been known to use the smaller one in times when I am pressured for time. Come on,...........give it a try!! :0)
